Misia Eau de Toilette
Chanel
(Edp) when the perfume came into the athmosphere this morning it occured to me that this got to be one of the most sophisticated perfumes I have smelled, ever. although I knew what to expect and had this perfume since 2016, I held it in 'protective custody', inmidst a 'Collection' of 299. so it is almost full still. yet now I have it nearer to me. what immediately comes forward are the Aldehydes which are stunning. a Cleanliness which I am very enamored with, which I'd never thought I would say. yet then comes a more roomy floralcy in the form of Grasse-Rose and Turkish Rose. my favorite flower and especially the Chanel-Roses are beautiful. I am not so good in smelling fruit in perfume. theoretically I suspect that the Lychee and Raspberry lend the perfume a delicate sweetness in the beginning. but I am not theoretical, although I studied philosophy. I am emotional, fully. the Peach, a fruit that I mostly can smell, gives in an achingly softness. then the quintessence of the perfume, Orris, Violet, Powdery Notes, Leather (of the softest kind), plus Vanilla, Tonka & Benzoin give this Flighty and Airy perfume some groundedness. the Orris adds to the perfume this refined scent as when you, 'in the Wild', bring your nose to the Iris flower and sniff, and hereby hoover a petal inside a nostril. that is how the Iris vents her perfume. of course the Orris Rhizomes give more powderiness still to the overal perfume. this gets enhanced by that other frilly flower: Violet. perhaps that is even more delicate and somewhat more sylvestrial, arboretic. the subtlest Leather note is acquired and with Karl then still at the helm as Couturier, we smell the make-uppy inside of an expensive Chanel handbag. I loved this perfume from the start although it emphasized the fact that Chanel was a nazi. Misia also had all the wrong connections. we will not forget about that and will appreciate this perfume around that fact.
