I feel quite disappointed. After fragrances like Delina and Valaya, I expected something equally distinctive and memorable. The opening is beautiful, fresh, fruity and very promising… but it only lasts a moment before fading away without a trace. What remains is mainly violet, sharpened by lavender, which on my skin feels closer to a “premium” fabric softener than a niche composition. The base becomes even quieter, a touch of musk and… emptiness. It lacks depth, woodiness, even a hint of patchouli. The whole composition feels unfinished, like a sketch without definition, or a fragrance diluted to its limits. Longevity? More like a high street body mist than a perfume of this calibre, after an hour, it’s practically gone from the skin, leaving only a faint trace on clothing. It’s definitely one for fans of very light, “skin scents”, but if you’re looking for something with character, you’re unlikely to find it here.

a spicy woody composition, subtly sweetened with honey. The opening carries a light fruity accord, yet the blend is so seamless that it’s difficult to pick out individual notes, everything flows together into a smooth, cohesive scent. Myrrh takes centre stage, wrapped in woody nuances with a gentle hint of oud. It brings to mind worn leather armchairs in a traditional gentlemen’s club, where the air is thick with spices, resins, and the warmth of polished wood. At times, it recalls a winter evening by the fireplace, the flames slowly consuming the logs while a faint sweetness of a honeyed drink lingers in the background. This is not a fragrance that shouts, it tells its story in a quiet, understated voice. Longevity is around six hours, with moderate projection. Despite its name, it isn’t particularly intense, rather refined and understated, like a well tailored coat

a stunning choice for anyone who appreciates fruity oud compositions. It opens with a vibrant, almost sparkling burst of raspberry, passionfruit, and peach, juicy and inviting. While I don’t pick up much in the way of violet leaf, and the peach leans slightly overripe at first, this phase is fleeting and quickly settles. As it develops, the fragrance transitions gracefully into a floral heart. On my skin, rose takes center stage, accompanied by a soft, refined oud. The oud here is beautifully restrained, smooth, elegant, and far removed from barnyard. The dry down reveals a warm, woody amber base with a subtle touch of musk, adding depth and sophistication. Performance wise, this is truly beast mode, exceptional longevity and strong projection, so a light hand is definitely advised. I wouldn’t consider this a take on Erba Pura (which I personally don’t enjoy). Violet Sapphire feels far more polished and refined. If you can look past the eye watering price tag, this is a worthy investment, and, in my opinion, a superior alternative.
