My skin sweetens any floral notes in this formula, accentuates the salty, sandy aspect like fine sand dust in the air of an ocean breeze and heightens the base notes, immediately bringing them forward. I don't smell citrus or ozone or a peppery bite. What I get is skin-like musk, driftwood, warm sun, beach atmosphere, the smell of ocean water quickly drying after each step up the wooden dock or boardwalk. I love the scent, don't get me wrong. But many will find an issue with performance. I do not smell it after 2 hours, and it stays too close to the skin. I do not feel it is projecting anything. It has a safe smell. It will not give ANYBODY a headache. It's calm, salty, solar... It's not electric. It's light. It's clear. It's natural. And I respect and appreciate the fragrance for that, You see, this perfume profile has a specific purpose. It is taking you somewhere. In this case, it is a beach, with clear skies and a warm breeze while you listen to the waves coming closer. It's a moment. That moment is not meant to last for 8 hours. That's why you could reapply, forever. I like the safety of reapplying without saturating the skin or the air. Some scents are created to sit closer to your skin. And it's beautiful to see that a person discovers you and sniffs you once they have approached you closely. If you want to be the star of the show, choose another fragrance. This is not loud. It's not like castle on the hill. This is a cabana by the ocean.
