Siu

A feminine, expensive-smelling, floral composition with bitterish honey pollen. The fragrance opens with a luxurious sunny yellow but discreet, with powder mimosa that emits a smooth, soft honey pollen. A bitterish vanilla note of blazing star gives a warm and pacifying hint of freshly made hay. Muted jasmine with coconut meat and refined almond accord evoke a sensation of a fluffy powdery cloud of flowers on vanilla base. A stylish, warm, gentle, sunny, feminine composition for girls who know their worth. The embodiment of elegance and nobility. Source: siu.store

To my nose, the fragrance opens with the scent of unsweetened almonds accompanied by a subtle citrusy brightness, even though no citrus notes are officially listed in the pyramid. Almost immediately afterwards, powdery mimosa begins to bloom alongside delicate jasmine, giving the composition a soft, airy elegance. The dry down is built around soft musk and smooth vanilla, though personally I struggle to detect much of the amber promised in the notes. Overall, the fragrance feels light, understated, and quietly comforting rather than bold or attention grabbing. There’s something very nostalgic about Elan, it brings to mind sunlight filtering through lace curtains on a calm spring morning. The mimosa adds a soft golden haze to the composition, making it feel warm, delicate, and effortlessly wearable. Longevity on my skin is unfortunately quite modest, disappearing from both skin and clothes after around three hours. Projection is moderate during the first hour before settling very close to the skin. Elan would be a lovely choice for anyone who appreciates subtle, intimate fragrances with a gentle powdery musky character.

“Élan” ignores its own note pyramid—and wins. Boozy sun-warmed fruit, golden florals, and soft incense create a non-linear, mood-driven scent that feels instinctive and quietly addictive. Not flawless, but far more compelling than most summer releases.

“Élan” belongs to that rare category of enigmatic compositions that gently disorient the senses, inviting the wearer to abandon the prescribed note pyramid and instead follow instinct and impression. It opens with a luminous interplay of sugary-tart apricot and peach, veiled in a delicate haze of smoked almond. The fruit carries a subtle, almost fermenting warmth—suggestive of sun-ripened flesh left just long enough to tip into indulgence, with a whisper of something illicit beneath the sweetness. Mimosa appears in exquisite form, rendered as fine golden pollen suspended in air, weightless and softly radiant. Jasmine, notably restrained, lingers behind the floral chorus—shy, diffused, and deliberately understated. The projection is confident and textured, with a richness that remains controlled rather than overwhelming. As the composition moves into its heart, a bouquet of golden florals emerges, led by an opulent frangipani whose creamy exuberance anchors the phase. Subtle flashes of woods surface intermittently, softened and rounded by coconut, which lends a sunlit warmth and evokes a languid, almost hedonistic summer atmosphere. The transition toward the base is wrapped in a delicate, incense-like smoke, reinforcing the perfume’s non-linear character. “Élan” reveals far more nuance than its official structure suggests, unfolding in layers that continuously shift and reframe themselves. This evolving complexity invites repeated return—each inhalation offering a new facet, a different tonal shade. In the drydown, amber takes on a mature, slightly arid character, refined by a sheer veil of vanilla that introduces softness and quiet opulence. The golden florals persist until the final moments, casting a luminous sheen across the skin—sun-warmed, indulgent, and enduring well into dusk. “Élan” possesses the hallmarks of a modern masterpiece in the making, aligning seamlessly with the season’s appetite for radiant, textured compositions while maintaining a distinctive and introspective allure.
