Eunoia by SIU opens with a distinctly soapy, aldehydic shimmer that immediately evokes the sensation of freshly laundered linen touched by cool spring air. The violet emerges crisp and green, edged with a subtle citrus brightness that calls to mind the gentle clarity of May showers—rain falling softly over blooming gardens. There is an unmistakable airiness to the composition, cool and weightless, like water droplets still glistening on freshly cleansed skin. The fragrance develops with a quiet restraint, maintaining a largely linear structure that reinforces its refined, almost aristocratic character. At its heart, a luminous white musk begins to surface—clean and radiant without ever tipping into harshness or sterility. This brightness is delicately softened by a European-style rose, pink in hue and youthful in expression, as though captured just before full bloom. The rose lends a tender freshness, expanding the floral dimension while preserving the perfume’s composed elegance. Soapiness remains a consistent thread throughout, yet it is rendered with sophistication—never veering into the synthetic or overly sharp. Instead, it enhances the impression of immaculate skin and understated luxury. As the scent settles, the white musk lingers gracefully, accompanied by a subtle infusion of dry woods that provide structure without disrupting the fragrance’s transparency. Soon afterwards, violet begins to emerge, at first slightly dewy and fresh, before gradually becoming softer, cleaner, and more powdery as the fragrance develops. I personally cannot detect much rose in the composition, yet the violet remains beautifully prominent throughout. In the dry down, a smooth high quality musk appears alongside a subtle woody nuance that drifts in and out unexpectedly, adding a quiet elegance to the scent. This is an exceptionally clean fragrance, reminiscent of freshly ironed linen, vintage face powder, and the faint scent of violets carried on a cold spring breeze through an old dressing room. It projects well during the first couple of hours before settling into a more intimate skin scent. On my skin, longevity is around five hours. It’s a wonderful choice for anyone who enjoys a “your skin but better” type of fragrance, with a delicate touch of nostalgia woven throughout.

Fresh rain in a bottle. Some flowers at a reasonable distance. It smells mineral, ozonic, like morning dew. But the rain... it's there, I promise. I am testing it so I might need to edit this comment. I am not a big fan of aldehydes (Chanel N.5 is my personal nightmare), but this perfume makes aldehydes shiny, beautiful, and ethereal. Very good choice for slow days. The opening deserves a prize. Pure rain. It stays there and then it slowly evolves to a more earthy place. I can't even sense the rose (much appreciated haha). I get some violets. The dryout is like some of the other scents of this brand: musky, cozy, a little animalic. This scent is more discreet than others, but I haven't felt the rain so close and yet so far in my life. Inspiring, clean, elegant, and a little nostalgic without seeming old. Balanced, and perfect for cozy days.
