Year: 2025

Rare by Rare Beauty is an Oriental Vanilla fragrance for women and men, launched in 2025. Crafted by the renowned perfumer Jérôme Epinette, this scent is a deliciously cozy and comforting blend with a slightly spicy edge. It opens with an addictive, mouth-watering mix of sticky caramel and nutty pistachio, perfectly balanced by the vibrant spark of pink pepper. The heart reveals a rich, gourmand warmth, blending smooth vanilla and deep cocoa with an unexpected, bright kick of Nigerian ginger. As it dries down, it settles into a soft, velvety base of creamy sandalwood, sweet tonka bean, and skin-like musk, leaving a beautifully warm and inviting trail.

This is a distinctly sweet and enveloping fragrance with an almost dessert like character. On first spray, I get creamy caramel and pistachio, soft, slightly buttery and comforting. As it develops, vanilla and cocoa emerge, adding depth and a smooth, velvety sweetness. The ginger is very subtle, more of a gentle warmth than a prominent note. In the base, tonka takes centre stage, accompanied by a light woody nuance. The scent is often compared to Burberry Goddess, though in my opinion the similarity only becomes noticeable as it develops. Goddess, however, feels much lighter and more airy thanks to the lavender, which beautifully balances the sweetness of the vanilla. The projection is noticeable, and it lasts around three hours on my skin. It’s a lovely choice for those who enjoy sweet, almost gourmand compositions.
