Review of Rare by Sarah Chabal

Sweet, vanilla, powdery, caramel, woody, musky, fresh spicy, warm spicy, soft spicy, cacao, luminous, feminine, chic, sensual, seductive, charming, whimsical, enchanting, dreamy, delicious, delightful, alluring, tempting, addictive, inviting, cozy, comforting This is such a pretty scent! Yes, it’s quite similar to Burberry Goddess, but that doesn’t make it any less pretty imo. Plus, it doesn’t have any lavender in it (which is a key part of Goddess), and it has the addition of caramel and pistachio. The pistachio is very subtle, but still softly noticeable to me. Overall, the main differences to me are the lacking of lavender, and the addition of caramel. To me, Rare reads as slightly more gourmand as well as less floral. Rare is also less sharp and more creamy, which is very nice. The most prominent notes on me are the vanilla, caramel, ginger, and sandalwood I really do enjoy both fragrances a lot. However, if you own 1 of them then you don’t absolutely need to get the other one. I do like having both though, and will definitely be replacing 1 if not both of them once I run out. I also think this is similar to B&BW Vanilla Ease and Moonlit Goddess. To me this feels feminine, and like it will easily suit women of any age. I like this best during the fall and winter because of its sweet, cozy, and comforting scent, but think it can actually work pretty well throughout the whole year. This feels suitable for any occasion from casual to fancy, and including work/school. I get good performance with Rare. The longevity is on the strong side for me, it lasts at least 7-8 hours on my skin. The projection is around moderate, it radiates out at least a few feet from me.
