Power Of You

While I understand this is a passionfruit vanilla fragrance, the passionfruit disappears after 20 minutes for me. It then turns into the creamiest vanilla imaginable, similar to an orange creamsicle type of creamy. I absolutely love how this dries down. I have had negative reactions from peers to the passionfruit note, comparing the scent to cat pee, which I understand the correlation when smelling Power of You in the initial spray. When the passionfruit has faded away for me, others seem to be continually appalled by the “cat pee” (passionfruit) note. I’m scared to wear this in public for this reason. I am impressed with Armani for stepping outside of the box with this one, especially being a designer house.

I had to see or smell what the hype was about. Usually, it can be overrated and very generic smelling so I always go and test or order a 1 fl oz bottle to see. Well, this turned out to be a beautiful fruity tropical scent which I ran and bought a bottle ASAP. I’m going to call this a fruity gourmand, it’s literally a tropical gourmand! Surprise not another generic from a department store. I can see that I will be wearing this throughout the summer when at the pool, the beach and on my summer vacation! It’s a fun fragrance to wear out at night for drinks with the girls or guys, or even a a first date. The passionfruit is the front runner in this which makes this a different fruity/floral. Vanilla is in the hinter ground which gives this a fruity gourmand! Love,love love! Get a bottle and go out and have fun!

A fruity vanilla fragrance that feels perfect for spring. The opening bursts with juicy passion fruit touched with citrus, giving it a very sunny, holiday like vibe. From the very first moments it reminds me of a Pornstar Martini enjoyed on a terrace by the beach on a warm evening. After a while, plumeria joins the composition, adding a creamy, slightly exotic softness, together with a sweet, custardy vanilla note. The vanilla beautifully balances the fruity freshness, making the scent more comforting, a bit like a passion fruit pudding with vanilla cream. As the fragrance develops, subtle slightly resinous nuances appear here and there, giving it a bit more depth and preventing it from becoming overly sugary. On my skin it lasts around five hours, with projection strong enough that a few colleagues have already popped into my office today to ask what smells so lovely.
