Review of Diva by aad de gids

with DIVA I had the most odd experience. it is an 50mL Edp flacon I think really from 1983. I got it as a gift. if it was bc it was such 'half bottle' (my experience always with 50mL's) I spritzed it on and initially, for quite a time, I smelled nothing. I had to move my pulse to my nose and I only smelled a vague if lovely, perfume. I recognized it fully. it hadn't gone off. that had never happened to me. but it was a day where I had spritzed quite some perfumes on my pulse and the back of my hand. a Mizensir and a sample of Barénia Pleine Fleur. it appeared to me as if I smelled not much to begin with. but by keep spritzing (not insanely) there she was and yet DIVA imposed to me as a refined, aldehydic, indeed Carnation-Rose perfume, a Chypre. it was less exuberant as I thought. but then I have a voracious sense of Opulent, Exuberant, Flamboyant. Giorgio, Poison, Obsession, Red, Beautiful, Must de Cartier, Opium, Bijan, Gale Hayman Beverly Hills (NOTHING tops that one off). I was feeling and thinking that, of course this was my kind of perfume yet I hadn't expected such a demure and sophisticated scent
