The anatomy of beauty: the real reason you love that perfume

Three aesthetic senses: stillness, movement, and individuality reveal your inner identity
When choosing a perfume, we often make unconscious, intuitive decisions, such as "it just moved me" or "it was love at first sight."
However, it's not easy to clearly answer the question, "Why do I like this perfume?"
Let me share my own experience. At one point, I was searching for my favorite "rose scent." A salesperson recommended it, saying, "This brand's rose fragrance uses only rare, natural ingredients..." and I actually tried it on my skin.
However, it didn't resonate with me at all. Because, at that time, I wasn't seeking "natural beauty created by natural ingredients." Rather, what attracted me was the "beauty of harmony," meticulously calculated and perfectly balanced using advanced synthetic fragrances.
From this experience, I became certain. We choose perfumes not based on whether they "smell good or bad," but on our own deep-seated, unconscious sense of beauty.
Having styled the skin and fragrances of over 1,500 people, I have systematized this sense of beauty into "seven personalities (aesthetic types)." This time, I will introduce the three main forces within this framework: "stillness, movement, and individuality." Please read on while imagining where your soul resonates.

1. Serene: the aesthetics of harmony and refinement
The core keyword of "Serene" is "harmony." However, there is more than one way to achieve harmony.
Harmony with oneself: Loving intimate skin perfumes that seamlessly blend with the warmth of the skin.
Harmony with nature: Loving the pure vitality of natural fragrances that feel the unadulterated breath of nature.
Harmony with others: Loving consideration that does not disrupt the space, leaving a subtle lingering impression as one passes by.
For example, even when dealing with the same scent of "oud (agarwood)," the choice differs completely depending on one's values. Those who love harmony with nature prefer a wild, earthy oud, while those who value harmony with their surroundings choose an oud that is supplely harmonized with other materials and has an elegant fragrance.
2. Dynamic: the aesthetics of energy and passion
The core keyword of "Dynamic" is [energy]. By wearing perfume, one visualizes their own aura and radiates presence. Even with a single ingredient like orange blossom, there are many variations.
Light Energy: Orange blossom that clears the mind and envelops those around you in a bright sense of happiness.
Enchanting Splendor: A fragrance that exudes an overwhelming presence, and when combined with tuberose, it creates a dramatic attraction.
Urban Sophistication: A cool expression that blends with modern ambroxan, exuding a cool and independent elegance.
For those with a "dynamic" value system, perfume is a trigger that awakens their inner passion and brings out their unique charm.
3. Individual: the aesthetics of solitude and originality
The core keywords for "Individual" are [inner dialogue and creativity]. This is an independent type who constantly confronts their own aesthetics in depth.
Fragrance as a Ritual: Wearing fragrance for meditation or to guide one's spirit to a sanctuary.
Respect for the Story: Finding artistic value in the brand philosophy, historical background, and rarity leading up to the creation of the perfume.
To put it bluntly, it's a strong statement: "I don't care what others think. I will wear this aesthetic." They reject mass appeal and are moved by avant-garde creations. Perhaps it is this "Individual" personality that most deeply confronts the question of "why I wear this perfume." A "Radar Chart" Reflecting Your Aesthetics
Of course, a person isn't made up of just one personality. We all harbor a variety of nuances within ourselves.
While possessing the passion of "movement," we simultaneously possess the elegance of "stillness." To visualize this balance, my styling uses a radar chart to determine the overall tendency.
If your main personality is "movement" and your secondary personality is "stillness"—then you can choose a "movement" fragrance to enhance your radiance in everyday business and glamorous situations, and switch to a "stillness" fragrance for private time or weekends when you want to reset your mind. This allows for such a luxurious and versatile use.
Understanding your own aesthetic values and how they influence your perfume choices will make your brand and fragrance selection process deeper, more exciting, and more enjoyable.
Please tell me which type you are.

Stop calling Arab perfume houses “copycats” when Western designers have been doing the same thing for years
For years, perfume discourse has leaned on a lazy hierarchy: Western designer fragrance is framed as the source material, Arab perfume is framed as the imitation.

Why your favourite fragrance smells different on a Thursday
There's something I need to talk about. Something that explains why a fragrance can smell like the opening sequence of a masterpiece on Monday and arrive on your skin the following Thursday smelling like the administrative corridor of a hospital.
