A harvest of scent: a fragrant celebration of nature’s abundance

Ah! That is how my senses respond whenever I summon the memory of this fragrance. Honey can be a rather tricky note: it has the power to enchant, yet it can just as easily prove overwhelming or off-putting. But fear not, dear perfume lover – this is certainly not the case here.

Bee is a beautifully polished composition built around the most exquisite facets of warm, sweet honey. Smooth, radiant, and richly textured, it is far removed from a conventional sugary gourmand. With exquisite subtlety, it evokes the bliss of repose in the most beautiful corners of the Mediterranean, far from the clamour of the city, surrounded by the gentle song of cicadas and delicate breaths of air, warm yet never scorching. Bliss is perhaps the most fitting word for what this composition awakens in my imagination.

Rose Jam by Lush: delectable preserves from the home garden

The final fragrance in our August selection is one of pure delight: a celebration of that innocent, carefree joy we experience most vividly in childhood, when the sight of treats prepared by a mother or grandmother fills us with anticipation. It recalls the aromatic scents drifting from a summer kitchen and the cool pantry hidden at the back of a country home, its shelves laden with jars of homemade preserves.
