My particular mini bottle is of men's Opium discontinued in the early 90s. The formula has changed considerably over the years as new designers added their personal touches. My first experience smelling this, ignited my addiction to collecting unique and popular scents of yesteryear. To me, this is a deep and dark magic formula of earthy, spicey, sweet and primal notes that defined what mature perfumes were supposed to smell like. Age is slowly catching up to this oily-thick, decades old bottle and a lot of that sweet fruity floral has developed into more of a molasses-sweet, soft animalic musk. I can only imagine how heavenly a fresh batch probably smelled. 7.5/10 I can't believe it still smells this good after aging 50 years!
