now this still IS a fabulous perfume. I remember immediately buying it. and somewhat later, the 'Extreme', then still with 'Gold Foil' covered. yesterday for the first time since quite a while (what you have with quite a collection of perfumes) I decided on Flowerbomb and I can best describe my experience with 'a feeling of Happiness befell me'. nothing more, nothing less. I also love Coco Mademoiselle (2001) ànd Coco Mademoiselle Intense & Crush Absolu (2026). fully. I love perfumes laden with flowers. Beautiful, Giorgio, Red, Creed Fleur de Bulgarie, Irisia, Jasmine Impératrice Eugénie. yet of course this was a specimen of the so called 'Fruitchouli's'. but where I do not smell Fruit so well in perfumes (only Prune, Plum, Apricot, Peach, Melon [not always to my liking]; Hesperides fly by me) the Patchouli I learned to smell again due to Coco Mademoiselle Intense (2018). and that, while I was thère when Patchouli was sold in little Witchery Bottles (1960s and 1970s). but suddenly with CCMI I again smelled it anew. I never disliked it. but Flowerbomb surely has Patchouli, to my nose less outspoken as in CM, but before everything else (and there is little else) she throws Flowers in your hair. Roses, Orchid, Jasmin, Osmanthus, Freesia and the African Orange Flower. and what someone wrote beneath I (not malintended) disagree with: I can surely discern between the Flowers and the main playas are Rose, Jasmin, Freesia & Orchid (to my nose). Tea, Bergamot, Osmanthus shall give a Light and Airy Tea-like Accent and the Musk I can not smell. Vanilla & Patchouli fill out the perfume (as does the Musk, the mechanics of which I can just assume and affirm without being able to say something olphactory about it). what I most certainly smell are Roses (but I am very Rose-centered), the Jasmin and the Orchid (which I know well from Graff: Lesedi di Rona VI Edp 2020, a Sophisticated and Chic Orchid-Oud perfume) and having smelled Orchids in Greenhouses (now there are Myriads of Orchids but it was heaven and, incidentally, Rose-like). so this is still my opinion of this fantastic and legendary perfume. now and then I read fragments of the Discussion about the Fruitchoulis. I guess with La Vie est Belle and Black Opium and GoodGirl etc., the market is oversaturated by such accumulatingly Sweeter and Sweeter edited perfumes. but it was already in 2001 Coco Mademoiselle came to Earth, and Thierry Mugler's (as I still knew him) Angel, in 1992. and from Angel I bought three Bottles of 100mL successively, to each time yet, give them away bc they veered too much in Gourmand (chocolat) territory (mind you, the term wasn't even invented then). but that was my diagnosis. then Coco Mademoiselle (and the named Flankers & Eau Privée) and then Flowerbomb were not ever given away bc I loved them and still do. the 'Syntheticists' also had Great Barriers against these perfumes. well I am anosmic to most synthetic Aromatic Compounds. so perhaps I am lucky. Viva Flowerbomb !
