Review of ONDA by aad de gids

it has been a while since I w(h)ore Vero.Kerns ONDA, where I bought it straitaway (ca.2010). there is now a Wave of very rich and complex perfumes swirling around my head, and it may be obvious that this is a very opulent, present, Exposée of Notes all at once. where 'Onda' means 'Waves' it does certainly right to its nomen, omen. it is as well a Fruit-Heady, Fruit-Syrupy multiplicity of Waves, with Flower Waves, Herbal Waves (after all, Vero trained for perfumer and aroma therapist), the Woody Waves of Cedar, Vetiver, Patchouli [and Musk]. (and Ginger) a Special Mention is for the Passion Fruit, which is inserted in a condition of ripeness, overripeness, rottenness... this gives the perfume a luscious, visceral almost Civet-like Enrichment. where I NEVER smell Fruits in perfumes anywhere, here Slabs of Fruity Assaults interfere with the Imposition, SuperImposition of the Edp. Passionfruit, Ginger, Citron, Bergamot, MandarinOrange all work in unison to paint almost a Tropical Landscape, and certainly a Mediterranean. Basil and Coriander give a soft aroma aura to the Opening Blast. in fact, this is STILL going on for hours. Vero's perfumes are veritable Time Bombs, Tableaux Vivantes of Noble Raw Materials. the Flowers Ylang and Iris are bedecked with Honey. I would say Honey and Passionfruit are the Pivotal and Concise Elements. I have All Vero's Perfumes (ROZY 2 x Vdp, the rest all Vdp's MITO, RUBJ, and NAJA perfume as 6817 (if I am not mistaken) from 7700 (@Bloom Perfumery London). I HAD twice the RUBJ perfume (7mL & 14mL) but I never am so lucky with 'perfume'. I took it to the US yet the stopper had gone loose lending me the whole trip the scent of a Hooker. and from the 14mL RUBJ perfume the stopper slid through my fingers leaving me half a bottle. I only regret to have never bought KIKI as, likewise, I somewhat bended backwards to JICKY, to which it is Aubading. yet ONDA is a magnificent perfume (Edp) and I am glad to still have 80%.
