If there was an avatar for the Rose from "Beauty and the Beast" - Roses Vanille would be IT! Except not the sad, blush pink and melancholy flower, but a gothic, magenta-purple and menacing one (which in my mind it exactly that - as it is counting days to live left for the cursed prince). The top opens with a blast of sugar covered rose petals with lemon-bitters/liqueur. It is so intense and syrupy, as if you released a tornado from the bottle. It takes over the senses, the space and everything else. Sometimes it's almost difficult to breathe. The combination is unique and brilliant, but still rather heavy and overwhelming. after a couple of hours the syrup dissolves on my skin and the perfume transmorphs into more airy and classic perfume "shape". The projection and sillage are still "beastly" and do not retreat even an inch. Personally, I prefer this stage of the composition - this is a very rich, sugar-sweet Turkish or Bulgarian rose, deep magenta or fuchsia pink, fully open under the sun in its zenith in the middle of July. There is no running away from its scent, it permeates the earth and the skies. There is a light golden lemon zest in the background, adding some light solar notes to the composition. The perfume lasts and lasts, until the very end, when it finally begins to settle into a powdery, delicate sweetness, still heavy floral leaning and distinct, as if after the day's heat, an evening breeze is sweeping across the roses and carries their fragrance on its wings, freshening the air and cajoling the blooms to rest for the night. The roses are gently swaying with it, returning to their delicate and almost shy demeanour, still majestic and magical in the final accords of their voluptuous and captivating aroma. I can promise you - you will still feel the traces of them in the morning, when jumping into the shower or making your favourite morning brew as a reminder of a truly luxurious and unapologetic decadence of the Roses Vanille by Mancera.
