another smashing perfume ! this is a veritable white flower perfume but yet not in the conventional way. the datura wears her majesty and poisonous (Datura Stramonium) character well: it ALL is very ladylike and a woman's prerogative. many of the white flowers smell their best in the night. the nightshade Datura harvests many toxic plants (mandragora, henbane, deadly nightshade [with the 'black cherry' to widen the pupils], bittersweet -- douce amère) and my fantasy doesn't hold back and I feel it adds to this mysterious flowers intoxicating scent. this, I guess, is also the domineering flower, although honeysuckle, heliotrope (purple notwithstanding), jasmine and African orangeflower add to the indolic violence. and do not underestimate the also toxic L.o.t.V ! but she operates stealth, sotto voce, subrosa. I can also most certainly distinguish the Iris and the sandelwood acts as a bed which accompanies the drydown ... if it EVER comes ! All the perfumes I have from Maitre Gantier et Parfumeur (Rose Opulente and Tuberose) are masterpieces. I still have the 100ml. flacons: somewhat more elegant i.m.o. THIS perfume is a fête: but not 'intime'. vanille and chocolate come to my nose in a marzipan concoction. merveilleuse et effervescente ! fabuleuse !
