In my opinion, Oud Superfluide is a modern interpretation of oud. Here, the oud feels cool, dry, restrained, and monolithic. The entire composition revolves around the oud note, while the other notes don't compete with it - they simply emphasize its character. At first, I detect a subtle sweetness and freshness from the orange. However, they fade quickly, giving way to a resinous woody accord of oud and guaiac wood that remains until the very end. At this stage, it brings to mind associations with thick black resin or even crude oil. For a while, I also notice a delicate smoky nuance. The base features vanilla and benzoin, yet there is no sweetness at all. I suspect these notes are intentionally kept in the background, serving only to reinforce the impression of smoky wood. Overall, this is a cool, restrained, and cohesive fragrance. In my opinion, it's also quite practical and versatile - equally suitable for the office, an evening event, or a restaurant. P.S. In terms of mood (not scent) it reminds me of Bois d'Ebene by Matiere Premiere: modern, dark, and woody.

Oud Superfluide
Country: France
The resin extracted from oud wood is one of the most noble and sought-after materials in the world of perfumery. Associated with the freshness of orange blossom and the curves of precious guaiac, cedar and sandalwoods, this resin from Laos exalts its fragrance. Spicy notes of benzoin, sesame and black vanilla promise a most memorable sillage.
