Inspired by the naive paintings of Henri Rousseau, this primordial flower with its Vahine allure evokes the beauty of a luxuriant jungle. At first, during my initial tests, Magnolia Supercritique struck me as soft and "pink." But now it feels sunny to me – yellow, orange, with a touch of green, but definitely not pink. It is unmistakably a tropical floral scent: vibrant, radiant, and anything but delicate. The opening is fruity with just a hint of sweetness. The first thing I notice is a velvety apricot with a marzipan nuance, reminiscent of apricot kernels. The fig is sharp and green, but it quickly blends into the scent of frangipani and fades into the background. After that, all I smell are the flowers – not indolic, not dewy (especially after Gardénia Supercritique), but bright. At first, they are intensely floral with fruity, almost banana-like nuances. Gradually, the composition softens: the flowers remain, but their scent takes on woody facets, gaining depth and warmth. Vanilla is also listed among the notes, yet I cannot detect it at all: it seems to have disappeared somewhere in the composition. In the end, Magnolia Supercritique is not the scent of a humid tropical night, when your skin is warm and the scent of flowers is intoxicating. Instead, it feels like a bright, sunny day at the beach. Cheerful, carefree music plays in the background, a tray of cocktails sits on the table, and a lei of tropical flowers hangs around your neck.
