Most Joop! Homme reviews are just people trying to outdo each other with jokes . How bad they hate it blah blah blah. And Exaggerations about how strong it is. Yeah… that’s the point. Go light on the sprays you’ll get compliments and not kill people. No more than 2 sprays. Next. Joop! Homme feels like a throwback to a lost art in perfumery. Back when fragrance was meant to announce your presence — not just impress somebody for 30 seconds at a counter. And get them hooked on something you’ll use up in a months time so you’ll be back to buy more. Perfumers learned a long time ago that most buyers judge a fragrance by the opening, so a lot of modern scents are engineered to hook people immediately instead of truly performing. This does the opposite. This is not the kind of scent you bury your face into and instantly go, “Wow, buy that.” This is for people who understand performance, projection, and presence. One or two sprays is plenty. Go past that and you might gas the entire room. Strong. Loud. Long-lasting. It reminds me of what perfume was originally meant to do historically. Announce one’s presence (Royalty for example ) It lasts and you don’t run out quickly and keep your money.
