mitsouko is the saddest perfume. it seems to push you back, the nearer you get. it has a notorious austere personality. like an introverted person, it hides secrets yet they evaporate in nanodroplets when escaping out of the perfume flacon. the most beautiful flacon is 'Mitsouko Noir'. (if I am not mistaken.) the Oakmoss functions as an Oud avant-la-lettre (in the West, that is). it gives a strict and prerogative message to stay the hell away. yet it is our own sorrows and griefs that this perfume shape. it has thus the effect of Pushing Away and Attract. what do you think of that time: 1919. WWI happened. in some aspects it was even more gruesome than the following World War (but let's not compare). then you had the Spanish Flu. I have heard different casualties. 20 million but also 80 million people died because of this pandemy. the world was shaken. only now we can see it all in hindsight. and we know Atrocity never stopped. but in the magical fluid tears but also joy vanished and got embodied. this Jus incorporated the vegetal and floral translations of melancolie and tristesse. one must be a person to wear Mitsouko. I have 30mL parfum in a Magnificent box. now and then I take a dip. the sadness has also to do with achingly love. it is love when the heart hurts. Roses, Jasmin, Lilacs, Ylang. these flowers transform the Nightside of Mitsouko into veritable perfume. the famous Peach. so lively and soothingly. apparently this quality was needed in the conception of this Jus Triste. a Tonne of Oakmoss, further Spices, Amber, Vetiver, Cinnamon. I think Mitsouko Choses you instead of the other way around.
