in 1974 I still could buy, and did, Grès's Cabochard in a fabulous box with 'dusting powder', with spectacular abstract tigerprint on the carton. if anything contained some kind of old formula, it was this powder. and it was good, very present. very austere, unusual, feminine, but of a naughty kind. that was the best Cabochard, plus the 2 flacons after that. then now I got this flacon. in all sincerity I find Dusitas 'le Sillage Blanc' a better rendition of the original perfume then I find this variant. it is not bad but when spritzed on, I think 'Oh the powder'; 'Oh Sillage Blanc'..... (about the original Cabochard, of which I then still could buy the perfumed powder:) "Cabochard Parfum by Grès is a fragrance for women and men. Cabochard Parfum was launched in 1959. The nose behind this fragrance is Bernard Chant. Top notes are Spicy Notes, Aldehydes, Sage, Tarragon, Asafoetida, Fruity Notes and Lemon; middle notes are Geranium, Jasmine, Orris Root, Ylang-Ylang and Rose; base notes are Leather, Oakmoss, Tobacco, Patchouli, Musk, Vetiver, Sandalwood, Amber and Coconut."
