Givenchy Organza was the second perfume my father gifted me, for my 15th birthday, and it has held a singular place in my heart ever since. As my collection grew and my tastes evolved, a bottle of Organza never left my dressing table—until one day I encountered Organza Jasmin 2007 Edition. As a devoted jasmine lover, I was immediately captivated and brought it home. Organza Jasmin 2007 is, in many respects, Organza amplified. It retains the signature elegance of the original but heightens its presence with notably powerful projection and remarkable sillage. The opening is an assertive rush of neroli and petitgrain: a strong white-floral accord wrapped in aromatic citrus. Apricot soon follows with a honeyed, velvety sweetness, while honeysuckle is finely woven in, remaining delicate and restrained. Together, they form a top accord that is both delicious and poetic. The heart is devoted almost entirely to jasmine, and it is a jasmine worth celebrating. Rich but not creamy, slightly heady yet impeccably composed, it carries a crushed-petals nuance, as if drenched in apricot nectar. Despite its exuberance and strength, the jasmine remains clean and crisp, never crossing into indolic or “dirty” territory. It suggests a jasmine sambac profile, with its opulent, spicy-fruity facets and nocturnal, orientally inflected floral character. On skin, Organza Jasmin 2007 becomes irresistibly addictive. The name “Organza” feels apt: the fragrance wraps the wearer in a translucent cloud of crisp, golden silk, like a chrysalis poised to emerge in shimmering colour. The heart does not remain static; it blooms and expands, sparkling with subtle spices and fruit, unfolding with impressive confidence and beauty. In terms of performance, Organza Jasmin 2007 improves on the original’s longevity, offering solid lasting power and confident projection for at least five hours before softening into a more intimate skin scent. In the drydown, nutmeg gently underscores the composition’s sweet spiciness as it grows softer, while vanilla acts as an elegant anchor—delicate, powdery, and seamlessly integrated. These base notes provide a graceful, balanced finale that preserves the fragrance’s character while easing it into a more subdued register. Organza Jasmin 2007 is a vision of feminine beauty: confident, alluring, and quietly commanding, with an almost enchantress-like power of seduction. I value it as a true jewel in my collection, a fragrance capable of transforming even the gloomiest day into a glorious, all-encompassing pleasure in simply being.
