Royal Blend Sequoia opens with a powerful burst of ripe raspberry—juicy, vivid and almost magenta in colour. It is not a delicate berry impression, but one of full maturity and confidence, set against woods whose bark seems freshly lit with moss, greener and more alive in the composition. As the fragrance develops, the alcoholic accord comes fully into focus. Cognac and liqueur are rendered with remarkable polish: neither harsh nor burning, but smooth, seductive and intoxicating. Rather than overpowering the fruit, they elevate the raspberry, drawing it into a deeper, more sophisticated and unmistakably sensual register. A rose appears only intermittently, recognisable through the cool metallic sheen of young petals. It feels less like an independent floral note than a subtle undertone to the raspberry—an atmospheric hue that adds texture and refinement without changing the fragrance’s central focus. Praline is measured with equal restraint. Its buttery, nutty softness transfers beautifully to the skin, lending depth and a quietly exotic sweetness while remaining within the elegant architecture of woods and liqueurs. In the drydown, Sequoia becomes softer and perhaps more feminine in character, as the sheer raspberry and smooth praline come forward.
