this perfume forms, with Gale Hayman's Beverly Hills (1990), Bijan's Bijan (1986), actually the finale of all the Beverly Hills perfumes which became all famous (notorious) because of their extraordinary Strength, Commandment of a Room, their sheer plethora of Overabundance of Flowers and costly Raw Materials. Giorgio Beverly Hills (1981) had become the most famous (notorious) and was concipiated by then Husband and Wife, Gale and Fred Hayman who owned a Hyperexpensive Boutique on Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills. they also were the co-creators of Giorgio Beverly Hills Red (1989). and now, finally divorced (which marriage wouldn't split after such Million Dollar Successes ?), Fred kept the Boutique (Fred Hayman, 273, Rodeo Drive Beverly Hills) and made a perfume out of it. these perfumes all have things in common. they are real Flowerbombs. they have the real Costliest Raw Materials. they make Legendary Headlines. (if not also supported by what happened in Europe back then.) we had Poison, Coco, Opium, YSL Paris, the Creeds, Guerlain Nahéma, van Cleef's First & GEM. but also in the US there was Obsession, Eternity (Calvin Klein), Oscar de la Renta. Donna Karan by Donna Karan. so it was a whole movement towards sultriness, opulence, richness, fabulosity. Cartier's Les Must (1981). Panthère (1988). Estées Knowing, Spellbound, Estée and so many others ! this Number, 273, was a Fabulous Perfume with a wealth of Flowers and Powderiness. Peach, Plum, Orris, Gardenia, Tuberose, Ylang Ylang. Apricot, the Woods Vetiver, Sandelwood & Cedar. it was a smotheringly dense and suffocative fragrance, much my cup of tea. (I thought I had the review ready but No. so this is the first review written in smell100.com.)
