This is one of my favorite fragrances from ELDO, yet every time I wear it, it evokes rather conflicted feelings. It opens with a peach note - clean, slightly soapy, and fruity - lifted by bergamot and neroli that add a subtle green freshness. Gradually, a soft floral accord appears, wrapped in gentle sweetness. I would most likely attribute this to heliotrope and orange blossom, as I don’t perceive any rose. Up to this stage, everything feels coherent and pleasant: a comforting, slightly romantic, almost innocent composition... Then leather and tobacco take over. The tobacco note, in particular, becomes quite dominant. On my skin, the scent later develops in a very specific way: as if I had spent a long time embracing a man in a smoke-soaked leather jacket, and his scent stayed on my skin. I can’t say this facet is unpleasant, but at this point in my life it simply doesn’t fit my current vibe. I would describe Divin'Enfant as a fruity-tobacco-leather fragrance. It has solid longevity, lasting several hours. However, the tobacco note, for me personally, can become somewhat intrusive over time... It is a unisex composition, suited for men who don’t mind a touch of sweetness and for women who are comfortable with tobacco-forward accords. This fragrance performs best in cooler weather - autumn and winter.
