Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia

Estée Lauder's "Tuberose Gardenia" is a luxurious and elegant creation that embodies the brand's long-held philosophy of creating "the most precious and intimate fragrances." The first note to emerge is the overwhelming presence of tuberose. Personally, I was strongly struck by its exotic and captivating impression, reminiscent of ylang-ylang. The addition of gardenia, the second main note, beautifully enhances the richness and depth characteristic of white florals. The impact of this white floral is so rich and beautiful that the other notes don't assert their individuality, but rather play a perfect supporting role, complementing the main note perfectly. this is a perfume which exudes Super Sophistication. the wealth of White Flowers radiates abundance, opulence and lushness. to my nose it is the Gardenia which comes to the foreground stiptly followed by the Tuberose. this Edp I acquired in 2007 and it made a lasting impression on me. Estée Lauder herewith cemented (if it already had) her role as a Leading Force in the Perfume and Prestige-Cosmetics industry. this is a kind of Instant-Classic Perfume with regal Imposement. a leading role in Perfumey as this is a Big, Bold Perfume in the line of everything that came before. not everything. I never clicked with Pleasures, Intuition, Beyond Paradise (if either they came before or after Tuberose & Gardenia). in the 1980s and the famous (or notorious) Chypres all from the 1970s this was a sequence of all boisterous, ostentatious glamour perfumes. I loved them all. of course all predated by Youth Dew (1950s). Estée (1968), Knowing (1988), Aliage (1972), Azurée (1969), Beautiful (1985), Private Collection (1973, I had the perfume), Eau de Private Collection [1980s], White Linen (1978) while with Spellbound (1991), which seemed all destined to accompany my other 1980s perfumes, I never connected either. so in 2007 and forth came the Special Editions of Private Collection initiated by granddaughter Aerin Lauder: Tuberose Gardenia, Amber Ylang Ylang and Jasmin White Moss which last perfume I unfortunately never was able to buy. so the Tuberose Gardenia is a fabulous White Flower perfume. I sense the Tuberose as one of the Divas but she has not the sour aspect that sometimes goes along with her, much to the Ruches of the Gardenia which then stars and shines. it is a truly abundant bouquet of White Flowers with Lily (which I love), Jasmine, Lilac, Neroli, Orange Blossom. it is an Indolic perfume but not to sickening amount (which, by the way, I love even more, if the White Flowers are already somewhat wilted). but because of the careful combined bouquet this is a Regal and Outrageous Bouquet which in my feeling has become a Stellar Pillar Perfume. Orange Blossom and especially the Carnation round the perfume out in a Super Floral almost Junglist Hyper Perfume. Vanilla swathes all the notes in a soft creamy veil, in no way meant in Gourmand sense. I am glad to have finally spoken of this Legendary Perfume as it is, and will always be, in my eyes (and senses).
