(as also about the 'Montale Bashers' and '80s powerhouse bashers'.) in this case: the 2011 version vs.the '70s version. I've lived through both (born 1957) and I can tell you they did a fine job with the reformulation of Miss Dior. then I've had the esprit de parfum, the perfume and the edt. this version is also masterfully done, in 2011. I have the same opinion about Poison ! I've worn the esprit de parfum in the 80s for many years, and of course Giorgio and Obsession, but do not think the modern versions differ so much of the 'old versions'. it is quite a task to reformulate such masterpieces due through the IFRA regulations and then to come out GOOD. I find the only one 'Miss Dior' an absolutely masterpiece. in older descriptions honey and gardenia and civet were always mentioned. even without civet(tone) and honey the 2011 version shares a great similarity with the 70s versions. it is the elegant, highly sophisticated ladies' perfume,along with Chanel no.5, Hermès Calèche, Jean Patou's Joy, Guy Laroches' Fidji and Chanel no.19. viva Miss Dior and fuck the flankers.
