here we have this parfum from the La Sélection Series, Homages to for instance 'Parfum Sacrée' and 'Piu Bellodgia'. what immediately strikes is the duo Black Pepper and Rose. (I had the [already more modern] Edp Intense.) wherein they kept this inimitable Duet of Irresistibility, which it is for me. then the perfume acquieres depth upon depth (just as with 'My Ylang' and 'Piu Bellodgia'). it has that Parisian chiqueness and when I go out (shopping for groceries for instance) you have the 'haute Madame' feeling. its Ingredients have been compressed from Rose, Mimosa, Orange Blossom, Jasmine and Vanilla for the original Parfum Sacré to the kept sublime Rose. rounded and spiked with the spices & resins Myrrh, Cinnamon and Pepper which together neither do make a wallflower of this perfume. it even has reminiscences to Gale Hayman's Beverly Hills (1990). the Myrrh further gives it longevity and while preferring civet or civetone, it just does the job. I belong to that half of humanity who can not detect 'white musk'. (it shall make the Ingredients float and lend buoyancy.) at least that is no omittance here. this is a 'Grande Dame' and Caron one of the venerable 'Maisons de Parfum'.
