Ripe peaches languish beneath the setting sun, their flushed skins splitting as intoxicated nectar spills forth in a slow, golden surrender. Osmanthus colours opening note with apricot hue; peach leads, with osmanthus' apricot dried-fruit tang and velvety raspiness, contrasting with the rich juiciness of the over-ripe peaches. The flowers are luscious and unabashed in their candor. Rose is drowning in her own opulence and geranium's open provocation. This scent feels as a graceful bout between these two florals. Aphrodite and Hera, each an omnipotent goddess in her own right, and so there is no winner, as they are both perfectly matched and at the same time paradoxical in their nature. Tuberose maintains the nectar-like smooth and treacly note. Narcissus adds a hedonistic spice, yet tamed by other florals. I can hear Orpheus among the muses, adored and worshipped, and yet condemned to be torn apart by those who announced their admiration in the past. Musk and ambergris are rich and indolic, casting the fruity‑floral notes into relief, and to the realm of gods, while setting perfect, marble-like base to hold the columns of worshipful aesthetic genius, to remind those very deities of old just how far and beyond the human genius has advanced. Cedar rises cool and lucent at the close, a clarifying breath that crowns this ambrosial perfume with its final, perfect sigh.
