Soleil Blanc. This is what summer actually smells like when someone gets it right. I almost didn't buy this. The price tag alone made me hesitate for a week. The fragrance community treats Soleil Blanc as a beach scent. It's doing something far more deliberate than that. Soleil Blanc opens with bergamot and cardamom - creamy, warm, already transporting before it's fully dry on skin. Expensive, yes. But not in a way that announces itself. More in the way certain things just are. The specific feeling of designer sunscreen, golden hour, a villa someone else paid for. It doesn't reach for the obvious move either - no aggressive citrus burning out in an hour. Instead, there's a nuttiness from the pistachio keeping it from going too simple, benzoin sitting soft underneath. The whole thing glows rather than projects. I caved on day six. It stays longer than it has any right to, and it gets compliments - actual unsolicited ones, not the kind you have to fish for. Is it worth the price, strictly speaking? Probably not. But if you're going to overspend on smelling like you have a slow, glamorous, low-effort kind of life, this is the one to overspend on. What's the fragrance you held off on because of the price - and eventually bought anyway? Curious how long everyone else's holdout lasted. #FragranceCommunity #FragranceReview #NichePerfume #LavenderCloudsJD Instagram · @lavendercloudsjd
