A composition of contrasts. On one hand, it is built around a classic, almost linear vanilla-cocoa gourmand; on the other, it surprises with its multifaceted character, unexpectedly caressing the senses with nuances of mandarin orange, delicate spices, and rough-textured woody accords. There is creaminess and sweetness here, but also a certain dryness and earthiness. Vanilla, however, remains dominant, sweetened with honey. Longevity and projection are both strong and very good. The overall experience was unfortunately diminished by a leaking flacon, which stained the inside of the box and damaged the printed metal plaque on the bottle. The flacon itself is heavy and substantial, and makes a considerably better impression in person than it does in photographs.
