Taro is a starchy root vegetable that is used in cooking as an alternative to potatoes. I’ve never tried any dishes made with taro, so it’s difficult for me to say whether there’s any similarity.🤷🏻‍♀️ The fragrance is undoubtedly gourmand, warm and cozy, but at the same time somewhat unusual and intriguing. On the first spray, I noticed sweetness, powderiness and a note I can’t quite describe. Gingerbread? Baba au rhum? Marzipan? Or old cookies in a grandmother’s cupboard? This note smells slightly caramelized, buttery and dusty, with a dense, slightly grainy texture. Maybe this is what taro smells like?🤔 Overall, Taro Whispers reminds me of the smell of baked goods. It starts out sweeter and more caramel-like, while in the dry-down, a vanillin sugar smell remains on my skin. Longevity is 4–5 hours, but the projection is weak and the sillage is almost nonexistent. I think it would be a good fragrance for autumn. This perfume won’t become one of my favorites, but it was an interesting olfactory experience.💛
