Review of Cheirosa '62 by Sarah Chabal

On me this is the most beautiful, nutty, pistachio and slightly fruity/cherry-like almond with sweet and luscious salted caramel, sensual vanilla, and creamy sandalwood. It’s such a sweet, sunny, delicious, charming, whimsical, dreamy, addictive, cozy, and comforting scent. This is absolutely wonderful! It’s Such a truly delicious scent! Out of all of the body mists I own (which is quite a collection) this is my favorite! It’s one of the ones that I believe I’ll always have in my collection. This is also my favorite pistachio fragrance along with Kayali Yum Pistachio Gelato. This is one of the few fragrances that I think is a true must have for any fragrance collector. Whenever people call this “generic” I always disagree. This was the first trendy pistachio and salted caramel scent, and today there are many dupes, and inspired by fragrances of this, but whenever this first launched it really stood out. For me, it’s definitely earned its place! I’m a huge fan of SDJ, and own most of their fragrances (besides the new Intense line). My top 6 favorites (besides 62) are Summer é Amor, 39, 71, 91, 40, and Limonada Gelada. My least favorites are Dança Mística, Aqua Mística, and 68. Comparisons: 62 & Summer é Amor - Summer é Amor is a more vanilla forward and slightly more floral (orange blossom) version that lacks the caramel, but has the addition of decadent brown sugar and amber. It lacks the pistachio note, but still has a prominent almond note. It also has a juicy tangerine in the opening. I absolutely love it, and wish it would become a permanent addition. 62 & 71 - 71 is much more rich and decadent with a full gourmand pyramid. It’s very caramel forward, and has the addition of white chocolate, but lacks the pistachio/almond nuttiness that 62 has, although it does have the addition of macadamia. It’s also got a kind of savory aspect to it that reads like buttery caramel corn. It’s incredibly delicious, and another favorite of mine. 62 is more fitting for year round wear, while 71 is more fitting for fall and winter. To me this feels feminine, and while it does have a slightly youthful vibe (as I think this is the scent of an entire generation - kind of like what Cucumber Melon was/is to millennials) it can easily be worn by women of any age. I’m 38, and still wear this regularly, and I’m actually wearing it today! I really enjoy this throughout the entire year, and think it’s much more than just a summer scent. It’s sweet and cozy enough for fall and winter, but sunny and non-cloying for spring and summer. I also think it’s fitting for most occasions, except for date nights and fancy occasions, and including work/school. I have both versions of the packaging of 62. I do get better performance from the OG (that’s the performance I’m discussing here). I get good performance with Cheirosa 62, especially for a mist. The longevity is is moderate, it lasts about 6 hours on my skin. The projection is also moderate, it radiates out about an arm’s length from me.
