what strikes me the most from 'Vitriol d'Oeillet' is the enduring 'lactonic', 'indolic' accompaniment of what is the subject of this perfume, the Carnation. while I have bought both Vitriol d'Oeillet and Tubéreuse Criminelle in 2011 with as incentive the aplombness of their names, they share another similarity. they both as well offer the incremented flowers 'Carnation' and 'Tuberose' in a veritable 'fotorealistic' parfumogramme as also a 'Torsionnement', as they were hauled through a wrenching machine and their saps and roots with it. with Vitriol d'Oeillet there is an for its source untraceable origin, in a previous review I called it a 'fatty' aspect, not so intraceable if there were Aldehydes or Fig or Avocado concerned. then we could point to that. but this must be a very Spicy (Cloves, inherent to the Carnation itself also, so, doubled), Peppers, Nutmeg, (Paprika), but also backed by other flowers as Ylang-Ylang and Lily, perfume. now there we have the Indolic Flowers. the perfume still smells exact the same as in 2011, at 14 years of age. I would almost say there is a Stearine-like Fattiness involved, primarily responsible for the Contortions and Helixing the Carnation makes within the Fluidum of the parfum. but because this fattiness is somewhat addictive, to smell, now I have the feeling the indoles are measured wide-out. it is an interesting perfume and considering the flacon is half-full, I have loved the perfume and still love it.
