Review of Heavy Cream by Sarah Chabal

Sweet, vanilla, creamy, lactonic, coconut, powdery, warm, luminous, feminine, sensual, flirty, charming, whimsical, dreamy, delicious, delightful, alluring, tempting, addictive, inviting, cozy, comforting On me this is a sweet and creamy fluffy marshmallow and airy whipped cream, drizzled with buttery caramel, and sprinkled with sparkling sugar, coconut flakes, and sometimes lemon and orange zest. The ambrettolide and a soft touch of warmth that makes it more cozy and comforting. Somehow this does actually manage to feel both like and airy, but also smooth and velvety. The notes that are the most prominent on me are the whipped cream, marshmallow, vanilla, and caramel. This was a love at first sniff for me, and I still really love it! I don’t get anything rancid, or like spoiled milk. I’ve had this for over a year, and mine still smells the way it did whenever I first bought it from Sephora. Just a pretty and delicious whipped cream and marshmallow scent that I still love. I would almost call this delicate, but still having a presence. As for milky/lactonic scents, well it seems like they can be hit or miss for me. I’ve never tried one that smelled like spoiled milk to me though. I’ve really enjoyed all of the fragrances that have a whipped cream note in them that I’ve tried, but an actual “milk” notes seems to be what ends up making them hit or miss for me. Also, I typically really love fragrances with marshmallow notes, it’s actually probably my favorite note along with cotton candy. I’m completely obsessed with Kayali Yum Boujee Marshmallow, Kilian LDBS, Princess, and BBW Cotton Candy Clouds, and consider them to be pretty much perfection. I’m a big fan of Phlur, and I currently own quite a few fragrances from them. My favorites are Honey Moon, Heavy Cream, Vanilla Nectar, Beach Skin, Vanilla Skin, Matcha Milk, Vanilla Blackberry, and Island Swim. Vanilla Smoke is nice too, but that’s one that I like more for layering during the fall and winter whenever I want to add a smoky and woody scent to usually one of my vanillas, although it might actually pair nicely with Heavy Cream. As for the “reminds me” section, I agree that it’s reminiscent of Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere, Afternoon Delight, Coconut Passion, Vanilla Twirl, and Gold Sugar. To me this feels feminine me suitable for women of any age. I think it works best during the fall and winter because of how sweet, cozy, and comforting it is. I think it’s most fitting for casual occasions and work/school. This performs nicely, especially for a mist. The longevity is moderate to strong, it lasts at least 6-7 hours on my skin. The projection is moderate, it radiates out about an arm’s length from me.
