Now I know what doors this fragrance has unlocked in the industry, and how revolutionary it was for perfumery as a whole, the fist TRUE gourmand that broke the rules of the game at the time. But I have unfortunately never gotten my hands on the old og formulation, but as of now, the way this fragrance smells as of 2026, is DEADLY. Literal mold covered with sugar, I’m not exaggerating, to my nose the patchouli is absolutely rancid, damp, wet, moldy, earthworm-y, mushroomy and then covered with tons of cotton candy. But instead of covering it up it completely clashes with it, butter and earthy with lots of sweetness, one side pulls and the other pulls harder, so you’re left wondering where this is going and it creates this toxic gas situation that fills rooms in an instant, and the coughing frenzy begins. It’s like the patchouli is 70% of the formula, I know it has no Oakmoss in the official ingredients but dry down reminds me of Nishane Hacivat. I have given this fragrance way too many chances but I officially give up, I give up on cotton candy mold but if you enjoy it or had the luck to try out the original formulation, I’m happy for you and good for you, but unfortunately this fragrance is my mortal enemy
