The citrus-ginger opening notes remain present throughout much of the fragrance’s evolution, forming the main pillar that distinguishes this flanker from the original. The absence of sensual jasmine is the second defining element. Together, these aspects make the fragrance a rather loose interpretation of its predecessor. The same applies to the longevity and sillage, both of which are delicate here, though as a skin scent the perfume remains perceptible on fabric for most of the day when leaned into closely. This does not diminish its charm. The fragrance evokes for me the image of an energetic woman dressed in riding breeches, a tailored jacket, and a cotton blouse, enjoying outdoor pursuits in an English garden on a warm day, when flowers, trees, and herbs perfume the sunny yet crisp air.
