I applied Neroli Oranger to my wrist and instantly regretted it. Within the first few seconds, I was hit by an intensely green, piercing scent - the kind I never enjoy and always try to avoid. Why was I too lazy to grab a blotter instead?🥲 My first instinct was to run to the bathroom and desperately scrub it off. But I decided to wait, and the fragrance slowly began to unfold... It turned out to be an incredibly realistic scent of citrus blossoms. To my nose, though, it leaned more toward lemon than orange. After the sharp green opening, it transformed into a clean, soapy-musky floral fragrance. The longer it developed, the more convinced I became that I was smelling lemon blossom, with its distinctive sharp, green, and cool character. I even picked up an orange from the plate on my table and smelled its peel just to make sure. Of course, orange blossom and the fruit itself smell different, but they still share a subtle sweetness and honeyed nuance - qualities I couldn't find in this fragrance. As time passed, the sharpness gradually softened, and more orange blossom facets began to emerge. In the drydown, it settled into a clean, subtle citrus trail on my skin. Although Neroli Oranger definitely won't become one of my favorites, I have to admit its execution is remarkable: it truly captures the scent of a blooming citrus tree. 🌿
