Plumeria Supercritique opens with notes of sweet cherry and almond, softened by a milky nuance. Soon, powdery heliotrope joins in, followed by sweet frangipani with floral, creamy, and coconut facets. The texture feels smooth, creamy, and almost edible, reminding me of a mille-feuille: layers of silky pastry cream topped with almond flakes and fresh berries. I was ready to note that this was, after all, a gourmand fragrance... But after a couple of hours, it began to change. At first, the sweet, creamy tonka bean and vanilla in the base misled me. Gradually, however, a more tropical floral character emerged, accompanied by a subtle astringency and animalic facets. By the end, it had become the scent of a sweet, white, intensely fragrant flower, warmed by the sun on a hot summer day.
