A warm, powdery woody fragrance with soft vanilla sweetness and the sensual warmth of amber. Iris Palladium would pair perfectly with a soft white sweater or a cashmere wrap, keeping you warm in cold, damp weather. At first, I didn't like this fragrance. When I ordered the discovery set, the Iris Palladium sample arrived with a broken sprayer, and the entire perfume had leaked out. Only a few drops remained in the vial, while the cardboard box had become completely saturated with the scent of orris. What I managed to smell at the time left me unimpressed, and I soon forgot about it. Later, however, I ordered more fragrances from Les Eaux Primordiales, and they included another sample. I didn't expect it to be this warm and sweet! This is not an earthy, damp iris, but a dry, soft, powdery one, like a smooth silk scarf with a delicate, slightly crisp texture. Amber, benzoin, and vanilla bring warmth, sensuality, and a quiet sense of intimacy, while sandalwood gives the composition a creamy softness. Together, they evoke the warmth of skin and the comforting closeness of another person, as if someone close to you were embracing you and keeping you warm on a cold winter evening.
