Vanagloria translates from Italian as “vanity.” It is a creation by Dominique Ropion, in which he wanted to capture the richness of vanilla in all its nuances. Vanagloria is a sexy, sensual and slightly predatory fragrance. Rich, gourmand and balsamic. It reveals a dark, animalic vanilla with a sweetness enhanced by tonka bean, while olibanum lends it a mystical, mysterious aura. As it develops, the fragrance becomes increasingly dense, dark, leathery and resinous. I imagine a woman with honey-toned, velvety skin, wrapped in a suede coat in a rich chocolate shade.
