Review of Lesedi La Rona III by Marta Regina Jabłońska

Every fragrance from the Lesedi La Rona line that I have worn has possessed a certain vintage charm. That subtle touch of the good old school of haute perfumery, where all the accords blend beautifully together, creating almost fairytale-like compositions. Enchantingly and classically feminine, full of the effortless elegance of a true lady. I feel the same, perhaps even more strongly, about Lesedi La Rona III. This is a beautiful tale of rose. Sweet, slightly jammy, yet delicately dusted with the patina of time. A classic rose, but free from heavy, suffocating accords, as though filtered through the light of an old photograph, taken from a wardrobe where it had lain dried between the silk ruffles of an elegant gown. Delicately powdery, resinous, and balsamic, the fragrance becomes quieter in the base, giving way to subtle patchouli that lends the entire composition a touching depth. This is a distinctly femme fragrance, a sensuous composition that seduces without ever becoming ostentatious. It brings Delina to mind, yet feels more mature, deeper, and more serious. Longevity is very good, particularly on fabric, while the sillage remains perceptible for a long time before settling into an alluring skin scent. The flacon is a little masterpiece, like the entire Lesedi La Rona line.
