Review of Lesedi La Rona I by Marta Regina Jabłońska

The opening is irresistibly vintage, in the very best sense of the word. Warm, enveloping, sensual, and beautifully multifaceted. No single note dominates, creating an alluring, feminine composition that somewhat recalls the oriental character of Shalimar. The florals are smooth and creamy, while citrus notes and pink pepper add a touch of vibrancy. In the background, resinous, balsamic, and subtly vanilla-like nuances can be detected. In the base, drier woody notes become more perceptible, as though revealing a hidden masculine facet of the composition, somewhat firmer and more austere. Longevity is very good, while the sillage is initially strong but settles fairly quickly.
