“The fragrance aims at women who (…) choose special fragrances which make them happy.” — this is how the brand describes 5th Avenue Style, and it is a quote well worth repeating here, because this fragrance truly brings happiness. From the very first fruity notes—where raspberry, peach, and a hint of juicy citrus can be detected—through velvety chocolate and beautiful florals, all the way to a warm, slightly dry base, the composition unfolds with ease and charm. The initial sillage is strong and enveloping, then gradually softens into a subtle skin scent that lingers for most of the day. This is a gourmand from the old school, quite different from today’s hyper-realistic, dessert-like creations. The sweetness is carefully balanced by other facets, remaining elegant, feminine, and refined rather than overtly edible. The 5th Avenue flankers differ clearly from the original, yet each tells its own story—and does so successfully. These are fragrances worth discovering slowly and savoring with pleasure.
