Review of Deep Dark Vanilla by Steph Dove

This is definitely an unconventional vanilla, and I think that’s why it divides opinion. This is not your light, airy, sugary vanilla — not even close! On me, it opens with a sparkling, slightly peppery sweetness that feels almost treacle-like, before settling into a deeper base of green-tinged woods, dark toffee, and a subtle liquorice-like edge. It’s rich, moody, and incredibly distinctive. In colder weather, this really shines — dark, sultry, and quietly very sexy. Some people describe it as leaning masculine, and I can see why. It does need a bit of confidence to wear, but to me it sits comfortably in unisex territory. I always feel amazing when I wear this — I absolutely love it.
