Gorgeous, sweet, warm, creamy, feminine, sensual, seductive, chic, elegant, classy, fruity, floral, citrusy, fresh, powdery, rich, deep, alluring, sexy, sensual, seductive, luxe, cozy, comforting On me this opens with a burst of sweet, fresh, bright, and fruity mandarin orange, litchi, and bergamot, with some sweet and delicately citrusy lily-of-the-valley, creamy floral tuberose, and warm and creamy vanilla. As it dries down it really starts to shine as it grows deeper, warmer, sweeter, and more rich. The sweet and creamy vanilla and caramel, the warm and golden amber, and the softly sweet powdery musk and woody scent of sandalwood become prominent. The notes that are the most prominent overall to me are the mandarin orange, tuberose, vanilla, caramel, and amber. I also own The One (the original formula), and I do find them quite similar, yet also different enough to want to have both in my collection. Desire has the same dna as The One, but Desire is sweeter, warmer, deeper, and sexier, while The One is more fruity and floral. I absolutely love both of these, and pretty much equally as well (though I tend to just slightly prefer Desire). I think The One is more suited for year round wear and it’s something that I tend to reach for if I want something that’s romantic feeling. Desire feels best suited for fall and winter, or nighttime during warmer weather, and it’s something I reach for when I want something sexy. I got my first bottle of Desire a little over 10 years ago whenever it first launched, and loved it so much that I grabbed a backup bottle right away. Unfortunately this has been discontinued, but I hope to still have it for many years to come because it’s one of my favorites. I get exceptional performance with The One Desire. The longevity is amazing… it lasts throughout the entire day on me, and I can still smell it the next morning. The projection is great, it radiates out a few feet from me, but it’s not offensive. It creates this lovely scent bubble around me, and leaves a beautiful soft trail. I only need a few sprays to get these results, so I think that makes this a very good value.
