"Are you the poison? Are you the cure? I'm not so sure..." Pure Poison is less provocative than its red-robed elders. Here we have a lovely smell of white flowers lightly set with citrus and a nice woody background which, indeed, is more conventional. However, I don't find it "clean" or "soapy" (for me a "clean" perfume is a perfume that smells of soap and/or laundry detergent and here that is not the case at all). I find it definitely has its place in the Poison collection because it has an undeniable sensuality, you know, that little "extra something". There is here a certain duality; wise but provocative, simple but mysterious, conventional but astonishing. The poison or the antidote? That's quite right. This perfume can therefore appeal to more people because it is less "daring" than its predecessors while keeping the sexy and mysterious side of the Poison collection.
