Review of Pomelo Oolong by Olga Steinfeld

This is the first fragrance by d’Annam that I’ve tried. It turned out to be very soft, cozy, and incredibly comfortable to wear. The pomelo here is neither bitter nor dominant – it simply adds a touch of citrus freshness to the opening. Then I start to notice a floral note, although personally, I wouldn’t describe it as osmanthus. This flower doesn’t smell fruity, leathery, or tropical to me. Instead, it reminds me of delicate white spring flowers with yellow stamens, gently swaying in a light breeze. I can definitely sense some resemblance to Milk Oolong: there is a subtle tea-like astringency accompanied by a slightly sweet, milky quality. Honestly, I always find it difficult to write about good fragrances or perfumes that I really love. Because when a fragrance is harmonious, beautiful, and simply pleasant, it feels like there’s not much more to add. Just try it. 🤍
