Salty notes form the heart of this fragrance, yet the accord is beautifully balanced. When these perfumes first appeared on the market, they were innovative. Today, in an era of abundant gourmand compositions, their sweetness feels almost exquisitely delicate by comparison. The composition as a whole avoids both floral and fruity sweetness, remaining subtly fresh and warm. It envelops with gentle accords of woods, powder, and musk. The salty accord lends the fragrance a certain airy lightness, rather like a warm, gentle breeze on the beach. Yet the scent is in no way tropical or typically associated with summer holidays. It remains elegant, feminine, and exceptionally pleasant to wear. Longevity is good, although the sillage quickly settles into an intimate skin scent. A very charming composition, an iconic fragrance of its time, well worth discovering and appreciating.
