Review of Halo Barbie x Brown Girl Jane Eau de Parfum by Sarah Chabal

On me this opens with fruity, tart, and sweet blackberry and raspberry with a touch of refreshing coconut water. As it begins drying down the powdery vanilla orchid, decadently sweet brown sugar, and sweet, powdery, and fluffy marshmallow join the fruity top notes. Once it’s dried down it really shines with the sensual vanilla, the golden warmth of amber, and sometimes soft musk. It’s delicate, but has a definite presence. It’s a very feminine, flirty, charming, whimsical, and delightful scent. Overall, it’s a sweet and tart raspberry and vanilla marshmallow with decadent brown sugar, and a soft amber-y glow. This is sooo very pretty! I’m really glad that I didn’t read the reviews until after I ordered it, or else I would’ve passed it up. To me, it doesn’t smell like Kayali Fleur Majesty Rose Royale, it no where near as rosy smelling. There is something that reads slightly almost rose like, especially more in the opening, so I’m thinking it may be the raspberry. This is my first perfume from Brown Girl Jane, and I’m definitely impressed with it. I’ve been looking at their perfumes for a couple of years now. They have several that sound really good, but the notes for this one really drew me in. I’ll likely end up trying more from them now. To me this feels very feminine, and suitable for women of all ages. I think this will work really well throughout the whole year, but especially during the spring, summer, and early fall. I think it will work really well for pretty much all occasions from casual to fancy, including work/school. I get really good performance with Halo Barbie. The longevity is on the strong side as it lasts about 7-8 hours on me. The projection is moderate, it radiates out about an arm’s length from me.
